Watching the KHL All-Star Game
Saturday, January 10, 2009
It’s outdoors, it’s in Red Square, and it’s the KHL All-Star Game. Team Jagr (the imports) take on Team Yashin (the Russians).
Universal Sports is showing the game live online here in the US. Former Flyer Robert Esche is currently in goal for Team Jagr.
I must have finally knocked some sense into Granato! Three straight starts for Raycroft, and this one against the Malkin-Crosbys.
Another Raycroft start, another win. Hopefully this convinces Granato to officially make Andrew the #1 goalie.
Thanks for the win vs. the Pens! Always nice to see them lose.
And congrats on Raycroft.
No problem, you guys beat a few Northwest teams though, so we’ll call it even. π
And is it just me or, on the “Game of the Night” clip, are those announcers voting for the Pens??
Your boy Raycroft made the ESPN power rankings this week. Think Granato is an ESPN guy?
As in listens to what ESPN says, or writes for ESPN? π
I know /I/ don’t care for what ESPN says, all I care about is how the Avs are doing. And I’m hoping we can finally beat Columbus tonight! Andrew looks like he’ll get the start, so if our offense can solve Mason once or twice we should to get the win. The Blue Jackets have some issues on offense at the moment, so hopefully we won’t need to score a ton. Although the Jackets haven’t exactly been quiet when facing us those two games this season {4-2; 6-1}.
But if we come away with the win, we’ll only be 2 points back of Vancouver with a game in hand.
Well, Svatos beat Mason and Raycroft stopped all 11 first period shots he faced. 1-0 after 1, with Clark in the box for hooking for the first 1:55 of period 2.
It’s almost like with the Red Wings last year.. We just can’t manage to pull off a win against Columbus.
