Flyers vs. Hurricanes 11/28/2008

Friday, November 28, 2008

This back end of a holiday home-and-home should be an excellent game. Both teams feature a strong crop of forwards, reflected in the exciting run-and-gun style of round 1. The Carolina Hurricanes threw a lot at the Flyers, and I would expect them to return with a vengeance this afternoon.

Expect a big game from Mike Richards. He was buzzing around the ice after his late second period altercation with Rod Brind’amour. Richards is usually able to extend that across a series extremely well.

I’ll be at the game and then heading to work, so my next blog won’t be until late this evening.

Let’s go Flyers!

A new look I see.. I kind of like it. Plain white gets a little bland after a while. But why not burgundy and steel blue? 🙂
Speaking of Colorado, yet another Avalanche loss today..

I wouldn’t want to steal the best colors away from you, of course.

I wouldn’t have raised any objections! Some of your fellow Flyers fans might have though. 😉

Man FF, you have to work on this whole ‘work’ thing. It’s really been interfering with hockey lately! 🙂

Well, the Avs tried their best to blow that 3-0 lead and lose, but fell just short. They must be extremely disappointed with that horrible effort!

With sarcasm like that, I’d hate to hear what you’d say if the Avs had actually blown that lead. 🙂

I’m the rookie at work. Just like NHL rookies, I get the most fun shifts – like working the concerts during Thanksgiving weekend. On the upside, I didn’t have to pay for a rookie dinner for the staff. So it’s all good.

I’d probably just sit in numb silence…

Sounds like you’ve been having plenty of fun, FF! 🙂

Wow, numb silence already at the quarter pole. How long do you think you can hang in there with the Avs?

Don’t worry, I’ll hang in there. I figure eventually they’ll get hot and start playing better {Read: Sometime in April or March}. The Blind Squirrel Theory dictates thusly. 😉
