I posted this one over at Bleacher Report, so feel free to catch it over on that site.

Hope everyone survived their Halloween weekend!

I think the biggest point was the one about Gagne’s goals. You know something’s not right when only ONE of a player’s tallies can be directly attributed to his linemates.

Now there’s only one active Martin B. in the Atlantic for a few months. Maybe Brodeur will even be nice enough to help you guys out some more and advise Lundqvist to get surgery as well. 🙂

Ding dong, the witch is dead! The Wicked Witch of the West is dead . . . .

Okay, not quite. But I reverted to my childhood for a moment when I read that Brodeur went down. I know it’s terribly wrong to take pleasure from someone else’s pain. So let’s just say it couldn’t have happened to a nicer person. 🙂

Just as long as they don’t throw another parade in Philly over this. ..Okay, so that was unnecessary. 😉

At least you aren’t taking pleasure in a Malarchuk-esque injury, right?

Sadly though, the Avs need more than just the opposing team’s best players getting hurt in order to win.

Yeah, the Avs could use a Brodeur-esque goaltender of their own.

If you were calling the shots, would you make a play for Khabibulin? Or do the Avs have a guy in the pipeline who’s worth waiting for?

I’m not aware of any wunderkind in the system. I might be wrong obviously, but like I said, I don’t know of anyone.
I’m not too eager to make a trade for a goalie though. Our last few attempts at that haven’t gone too well {Jose Theodore anyone?}.

So I’m not sure what we should do. But it doesn’t appear that Budaj is the future like he was originally thought to be.
I don’t suppose the Devils would be willing to trade us Brodeur for cheap because of his injury? 🙂

The way Lou Lamouriello (sp?) puts together a team, you could probably send him Laperriere, McLeod and Clark in exchange for Brodeur. I don’t know how he’d do it, but somehow he would end up with the better half of that trade. Everyone he puts in a Devils jersey seems to turn to gold.

You sure you’re not just looking at that with slightly Orange-tinted glasses? How about Tucker instead of Laperriere or McCleod though.

You know your boys far better than I.

Besides, I like Laperriere far too much to actually want to see him in Devils’ black and red.

Now Tucker, I could stand seeing him get the tar beat out of him on a nightly basis . . .

Besides, I wouldn’t really want Brodeur. We’d have a goalie controversy! Although Roy and Brodeur’s jerseys hanging next to each other over the Pesi Center would be nice. 🙂

    Pepsi, not Pesi.
