Game Predictions 4/6/2008
The last day of the regular season arrives!
Chicago vs. Detroit – The Blackhawks have owned the Red Wings this season. I don’t expect them to let up now. – BLACKHAWKS
Minnesota vs. Colorado – This could be a first-round match depending on who wins and who loses in the West today. MInnesota does well against the Avalanche, and they won’t want to cede any of their momentum as they head into the postseason. – WILD
San Jose vs. Dallas – When the Stars picked up Brad Richards, I thought he was the piece to put them over the top. Apparently not. Brian Campbell, on the other hand, made everything work in San Jose. – SHARKS
NY Rangers vs. New Jersey – Normally New Jersey wins games with an outstanding performance from Martin Brodeur and solid defense from the skaters. Lately, that hasn’t been working for the Devils, and frustration appears to be taking root. Facing a Rangers squad that is looking to sweep the series shouldn’t help that situation. – RANGERS
Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia – The Battle of Pennsylvania heats up. I’m sure the Penguins would have preferred the opportunity to knock Philadelphia out. All I can say is that the Wachovia Center should be rocking today. – GO FLYERS GO!!!
St. Louis vs. Columbus – The Blue Jackets should come back for revenge and to prove they can score on Toivonen. – BLUE JACKETS
Phoenix vs. Anaheim – These Ducks are not dead. And they could repeat their championship. – DUCKS
