Game Predictions 2/21/2008

NY Islanders vs. New Jersey – If anyone has TiVo footage of the Islanders-Devils season series, please send it ASAP to John Stevens.  Apparently Ted Nolan has discovered the Devils’ Achilles heel, making his team unstoppable whenever they face Martin Brodeur.  That said, Wade Dubielewicz will be in goal instead of the injured Rick DiPietro, probably making the TiVo less useful to Stevens.  – DEVILS

NY Rangers vs. Philadelphia –  For the Flyers, every game in the last eight is a must win, which won’t be easy against their Atlantic division opponents.  – FLYERS

Toronto vs. Buffalo – No Sundin.  No Antropov.  No Coliacovo.  And no win.  – SABRES

Washington vs. Atlanta – CAPITALS

Minnesota vs. Vancouver – Fresh off a victory over Edmonton, Vancouver could pass Minnesota in the standings with a win in regulation.  It’s a tight battle in the Northwest and should be a good contest to watch.  Despite the fact that these teams prefer the boring defensive style to high octane scoring  – WILD

Anaheim vs. San Jose – Can anyone say Western Conference Final?  It’s a distinct possibility.  – SHARKS

    If you’re picking NHL games straight-up, ie without using a money-line, pucks or both … 47-33 (.588) isn’t a great winning percentage.

Feel free to hit me up anytime you’d like to dialogue about ‘the World’s Fastest Game’.
