Game Predictions 3/20/2008

Thursday, March 20, 2008

Montreal vs. Boston – If you need the definition of dominance, look no farther than the season series between Montreal and Boston.  The Habs have won every meeting thus far.  Given the Bruins’ recent lack of scoring, the two points should go to the Blanc, Bleu et Rouge.  – CANADIENS

St. Louis vs. Ottawa – BLUES

Tampa Bay vs. Pittsburgh – PENGUINS

Carolina vs. Florida – PANTHERS

Detroit vs. Nashville – I’ve been back and forth on this game all day.  And I’m actually changing my decision – which is perfectly fair since the games have not yet been played.  – PREDATORS

Colorado vs. Calgary – The Northwest is by far the tightest division in hockey during a season of league-wide parity.  Minnesota leads with 87 points.  Vancouver, Calgary and Colorado are tied for second with 84.  Edmonton only has 79 points and is the only one out of the playoffs, but they’ve been tough to beat lately.  In the West, playoff positioning is so important.  The eighth seed will take on Detroit, the seventh San Jose.  So getting as high as possible is required.  –  FLAMES

Vancouver vs. Edmonton – Vancouver should be the more desperate team given the tight standings.  However, the youth in Edmonton have put on a show lately, making every team they play battle for points.  It won’t be an easy night for the boys from the coast.  – OILERS

Los Angeles vs. Phoenix – COYOTES
