Game Predictions 3/10/2008

2008 March 10

Sorry for the late post – I wrote it early and thought I put it up, but it was just saved.

NY Rangers vs. Buffalo – The Sabres are 4 points behind the eighth-place Flyers and 7 points behind the sixth-place Rangers.  With only 13 games remaining in their season, tonight is a must-win.  But the Rangers - who gave the Sabres quite a run for their money during last year’s playoff series – seem to have found a solution for the men from Buffalo.  The season series is all Rangers.  – RANGERS

St. Louis vs. Calgary – The Blues slipped out of the playoffs, and JD’s actions as GM confuse me.  Swapping veteran defenseman Bryce Salvador for tough guy Cam Janssen?  Not dressing Janssen?  He’s at least a tough guy who has some hockey skills.  – FLAMES

Vancouver vs. Los AngelesA blogger I read referred to the Kings as “deceptively bad” given their position in the standings.  Vancouver might agree – the season series between these two teams is 3-0 Kings.  Nonis formed a great defensive team with no firepower, and the Kings make that loud and clear when they play.  – KINGS
