Top 25 to watch under 25

2008 March 7

If you had to pick the top 25 players in the NHL under age 25, how would you decide?

I’ve selected 25 players (listed in alphabetical order) that I think are worth watching.  Factors included point production, value to his team, projected potential, and style of play.  Bottom line – if one of these guys is coming to my building, I’m excited.

1.         Nicklas Backstrom

2.         Jeff Carter

3.         Sidney Crosby

4.         Tobias Enstrom

5.         Marc-Andre Fleury

6.         Sam Gagner

7.         Ryan Getzlaf

8.         Mike Green

9.         Erik Johnson

10.       Jack Johnson

11.       Patrick Kane

12.       Anze Kopitar

13.       Evgeni Malkin

14.       Peter Mueller

15.       Rick Nash

16.       Alexander Ovechkin

17.       Corey Perry

18.       Dion Phaneuf

19.       Carey Price

20.       Mike Richards

21.       Eric Staal

22.       Ryan Suter

23.       Jonathan Toews

24.       Thomas Vanek

25.       Shea Weber

I’m planning to explore each of these guys in more depth later.

Anyone else have proposals for their top 25?
